Independent jazz record label
Home of the Brave pays tribute to the finest cinematic music the world has ever heard - the music of Morricone, Elmer Bernstein, Moross and Steiner - but in a way that you have never heard before.
From The High Chaparral to The Big Country, How the West was Won to Champion the Wonder Horse, HOTB take these themes from the 50’s & 60’s & mix them with a panoply of post-bop jazz references, grinding blues grooves and free improvisation.
Home of the Brave are Richard Ormrod - saxophones, clarinets & flutes, Jonny Flockton - electric guitar, Rus Pearson - double bass & Paul Hession - drums
The band recently recorded their debut CD live over two nights at Seven Arts in Leeds.
The album is due for release later in the year and a UK tour is currently being booked. Please join our mailing list or check back soon for further information.
