Gateshead International Jazz Festival is back fromFriday 31st March–Sunday 2nd April 2017 with the best of jazz from across the globe including a couple of Jellymould artists. Wildflower sax man Matt Anderson is appearing as a special guest with the Sage Gateshead’s regional youth jazz ensemble, Jambone, in a programme of new music composed by Matt and vocalist Zoe Gilby. Featuring the very best teenage jazz musicians from across the North.
Also appearing as part of a double-bill with Trish Clowes ‘My Iris’ Quartet will be Stan Sulzmann and Nikki Iles playing from their wonderful duo album Stardust.
